IΩANNA is an international artist specialising in sculpture. Her artworks embody an edgy dichotomy of traditional technique and conceptual exploration. She studied a Bachelor of Visual Art and Bachelor of Business at Monash University while holding a scholarship to practice from the Italian campus. Ioanna’s accolades include the 2018 Tina Wentcher Prize, the 2021 Katherine Jewellery Award, and recent recognition as the recipient of the 2024 People's Choice Award at the Northern Centre for Contemporary Art, Australia. Following her 2025 solo exhibition βιοτεχνολογία - Future Archeology at LANDSLIDE - Wentworth Falls, IΩANNA continues to investigate the enduring and cyclical nature of innovation through injecting technology into a sculptural practice.
